Really running Loooong hood forward

Caught the Louisville & Indiana heading back to their yard this afternoon here in Jeffersonville In. with it S10 slug teamed up with GP16 1610 leading the way.

I saw him at Chestnut St in Louisville about noon. Glad to see the 'Pickle' back in service.

Now that's special...haven't seen a sight like that since Indiana Harbor Belt regularly put their power boosters up front...but does this count for anything (Cheyenne 7/08) ?

I don't believe they were a catalog item, specific for the UP...

I'm quite sure that is the first time Ditchlights have ever been put on a slug without a cab. Leave it to the LIRC! And--I haven't seen that slug run into avon on the CA turn.

Sandersville railroad has ditch lights on there slugs, If Southern or NW would have gotten DDa40x they would have been set up to run long hood forward
