NS Slugs and an OC geep...

Set out today in search of something to burn some pixels on... I started out on the Eastside of Columbus and decided to see if the Ohio Central had any activity... It's been a while since I've seen anything really interesting on the OC, but today proved to be different... An actual GP-10 trundling around out by the airport. It's been a while since I've been treated to the sight of any early geep around Columbus... Cool.

Yes, the pictures are reversed, but... I ended up in Marion, Ohio where the Conrail Historical Society was having a gathering. NS and CSX provided most of the entertainment,with a decent amount of traffic. My highlight was capturing the NS 701 with it's mother. This thing (RP-E4C) is the first slug set of this type I've seen on the NS. Interesting that this concept which CSX has embraced a long time ago is filtering out to other railroads...
