CPRS5677

Late July 2000 and a D&H SB is about to leave Oneonta, bound for Binghamton. 5677 is a unique SD40-2, only having one dual flag, on the conductor's side.

Sorry
It is just getting rather tough wading through everything when you have 30 picture posts out of 45 posts on a page.

It is evident from the image that the 5677 received its "unique" status because a panel or two on one side of the hood was replaced from another unit, rather than having actually been painted with flags on just one side. Would that mean that a Conrail unit I once photographed with a Burlington Northern hood door on one side was also in a "unique" paint scheme?

No matter what the circumstances were, whether it be door replacement or painted over, 5677 is still the only CP SD40-2 with only one dual flag on it, which makes it unique.
