End of the Line - Indiana Rail Road
Author: LX15840

I caught an image today of an Indiana Rail Road SD90MAC and it's train at the northern-most point of the Indianapolis Division at the Senate Avenue Terminal. The track the train is on is the former passenger main connection to the Indianapolis Union Station which is about one mile to the north of this point. When the connection was in place it was on a trestle from this point all the way to the station, and was on an alignment that took it directly through where the Lucas Oil Stadium now stands.

Very cool. And I was not aware they were using their big MACs on the road freights.

Yes, they are using the big MACs for many of their road jobs. They acquired a number of additional units recently.

Neat photo. Is it the end of the line, or the beginning?

It seems a little dangerous to have a $2 million asset so close to the edge.
