BNSF leading K485 west
Author: ddavies

Thanks to HUs from east of Baltimore to Brunswick (MD), I was able to get two BNSF units leading K485 westbound at Shenandoah Junction, WV.

Hi, what was the weeded track in the foreground used for?

This was the old interchange track between B&O and NW at the Junction. After the CR split, interchange was shifted to Hagerstown, and this track is now out of service. (some tall weeds were removed for this picture ;-) Just beyond the switch is a red tie. This side is NS property, while the track past the switch is CSX (leading to a connection to track two around the curve at West Duffields.
