Good afternoon all. Pulling what hair out I have left trying to figure out why my instrument panel and brakelights do not work SO that is why I am wondering if NS will deliver these three heritage units this coming Thursday to Fort Wayne on Friday. Five more units to produce in just three and a half weeks. The "Family Portrait" is four weeks from today...anticipation...

I posted this on yesterday's thread a little while ago, but let me do it here for everyone to see it easier.

I received an update on the 1067 and 1068. They will be shipped next Tuesday, June 12th.

The 1069 will ship later, as it still has to go through final testing, etc.

lots of good wrench head forums out there. go to a couple myself for answers on my 1973 vw thing......

Turns out it is the dimmer switch; found out by checking voltage for each wire. Have to wait on part for a day or two. Now time to concentrate on trains...

Or in your case, the heritage units...

ANY day with trains, whether Heritage Units or not, is better than my best day at work...

The latest update that I have is that NS 1067 and 1068 are still to ship from EMD on Tuesday. However, the units will be shipped to Chattanooga, TN to be setup for service.

Also, NS 1069-1074 will be completed at EMD and held there until all six can be shipped in a special move dead-in-tow down to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC, for the NS heritage get together event next month. The units will then be sent and setup for service after the event.
