NS on the 'Peavine'
Author: P

I plan on soon trying to catch the 218 on the Peavine in the next couple of weeks (photos, that is) since it is pretty predictable as to the time of day it runs. I was wondering what the maximum authorized speed is for an intermodal train on the Peavine between Cincinnati & Portsmouth, OH. If I know this, I can gauge whether or not I can catch it at multiple locations.

I don't know the speed limit off-hand, but I have been told southwestern Ohio fans that the line is fairly chaseable, even for the intermodal train (I've been interested in covering this myself, but have yet to do it).
