Gary Date: 08/06/12 17:13 Re: North Carolina derailment Author: ctillnc Will take a while to clear this one. For those not familiar, this is between Charlotte and the NC/SC line. Detours are difficult without reverse moves.

Southbound trains can do the opposite without any reverse moves being required. Of course, the Columbia district probably doesn't have enough crews to handle too many reroutes if they decide to run any that way.

Date: 08/07/12 04:57 Re: North Carolina derailment Author: ctillnc 20 made a station stop at Gastonia and then Charlotte (5 hrs 40 mins late). Either they sat in Gastonia and waited for an open track, or they ran up the P&N to Mt Holly.
