Truck-train collision, no injuries. Georgetown, In.
Author: wa4umr

A trailer truck got stuck on the tracks near Georgetown, In. (about 10 miles northwest of Louisville) yesterday. Apparently the landing gear hi-centered on the crossing and the driver couldn't move it. The driver got out and went for help. I don't know how long he was there before the train came. In this incident, no one was hurt. The train pushed the truck down the track a bit and took out some "telephone poles" according to the news people. It was probably the code line.

News departments usually sensationalize these incidents. One station reported the train "collided" with a truck. The other station said it "slammed into the truck." Here's a couple of links to the stories.
