Eastern Railroad Discussion > New GE'sDate: 11/05/12 08:25 New GE's Author: tihess A thread from a couple days ago mentioned new GE's that came into Elkhart. Here they are 2 days ago heading out on 19K. They were sharp looking but besides from the numbers, (1015-1018), they had no visible reporting marks. The prior thread stated they are GECX. There were some words in Spanish low on the long hood that included Cenejon, Columbia , so I would guess they are headed for South America. Anyone know?

It currently rosters an AC4400CW and four ex-NS B36-7s and an ex-CR B36-7. These units are numbered atop the lone AC4400CW (1014).

Not saying it doesn't happen, we've all seen the evidence. But its not as common as many in the community would like to think. |
