Eastern Railroad Discussion > Clouds, corn field and a CP power lunchDate: 11/05/12 16:35 Clouds, corn field and a CP power lunch Author: perf4strivection On my short drive to work this morning I hear scanner chatter about the Q369-05 arriving Garrett at 0655. The yardmaster relays to pull x track and tie down the train because no crew was called. I head into work. During my lunch hour I hear the train switching cars and listen attentively as for when the train might depart. I set up at Brownies farm crossing in Altona at the west end of the Garrett, IN yard. Clouds drift south as I wait. The train gets in one piece and departs under a nice sky of clouds and above the drying corn at 1237 today. A bit of a numerical coincidence in the clean CP leader 9369 and trailing unit 9782. The late call made for a good lunch.
