The Big Boys Were Out Again Today

PN C39-8's 8212 and 8211 pulled 31 cars out of storage from the ESPN at Telford, Pa. I am guessing with the destruction caused by Super Storm Sandy they are needed.
First pulling out of the interchange in Telford
Second crossing County Line Road
Third on the Telford Curve

These are GE's best looking engines every made. Tough looking beasts.

In Photo #3, the line appears to be superelevated. What is the speed limit there?

It is super elevated, a remnant of RDG passenger service. Line today is 15mph.

I remember riding in the cab of an RDC with the engineer from Phila to Bethlehem, Pa and we were doing 65 mph !
