Obviously, everyone knows the 6920 made its first revenue run today down the H-line on its merry way to Norfolk, VA for a second unveiling at Lamberts Point, so no need to dwell on the details.

That said, I would like to dedicate this photo to my good friend and shipmate CTT1(SW) Steven P. Daugherty, USN who lost his life in Iraq in 2007 doing what he loved, for the country he loved. Steve and I deployed together, had some good times, some bad times, and some worse times, but I know both of us wouldn't have traded the experience that the military gave us for the world twice over.

Seeing this today reminded me of some better days that are behind me, but no less a part of me.

Rest In Peace my friend.
