Eastern Railroad Discussion > Lackawanna leading 590?

I was told there should be a 590 out of Shire Oaks for Baltimore today that could possibly have the Lackawanna on the lead. Can anyone confirm this? If so, is it on the road yet, or still at Shire Oaks? Thanks

I heard Mon Valley dispatcher talk to 1074 ( N01 ) at Shire Oaks around 07:30 and he said "when you have a crew aboard you are Ok to go north". I just heard NS 590 is on the move but did not catch where it is. I would bet that is 1074. I was hoping to catch it coming back from the Federal mine but did not. Good luck.

I don't think that was the right train. I spoke with an informed person at about 0800 who said the train with the Lackawanna unit was at the north end of the siding at Waynesburg waiting on at least one southbound, possibly two.

It is, however, supposed to be leading a train to Baltimore.

Since I'm not over there, I can't independently confirm any of this, but just beware that it may not be where HeritageUnits.com says it is.

NO PROBLEM John; appreciate all the help thus far with everything.

No harm to me, either. Just demonstrates need to be careful about definitive OS reports when radio communication is inconclusive.
