NS T79 with NYC 1066
Author: srman

Sort of stumbled into this guy this afternoon as a NS turn job between Louisville Ky. and Shelbyville headed east
by Veechdale Ky. with the NYC unit running long hood forward with one car. I waited for the return trip but thicker
clouds and a setting sun ended that. For the past several weeks the unit has been serving the southwestern Indiana
coal mines.

Nice, real nice. Cool to see it long hood forward.

Great move! So odd to see a brand new, big boy locomotive running like a shortline engine. And long hood forward at that!

Nice shot! Do those ACe's have a desktop or the traditional AAR control stand? Figure would have to be annoying running lhf with a desktop.

That's very cool!!! Be even better if that unit was actually working like this in NY.

Traditional AAR with the usual NS mods.
Indeed, nice catch!

Even with the traditional control stand, it's near impossible to see as you're right at eye level with the huge radiator flares.

Looks like they had to make a hot run for automotive...
