Does anyone know if the NS(DL&W) 1074 on train 593 has left Baltimore heading for Harrisburg Yet? Vince

Caught it down at Columbia,PA around 7:10am.

Does anyone know if it is called to go west from Harrisburg?

Question for you fellow TO members? Where would be the best place to catch this before it goes down to Shire Oaks? Oldest daughter now wants to go as she is getting Heritage fever. I have been to Homestead, Pa. as I was told you will catch the LOADED coal trains coming out of Shire Oaks however the empties returning are another story. Help with this one please...thanks.

You have to go east of Port Perry if you want to get them on the main line. There are lots of good spots in the Greensburg and Latrobe areas. Closer to Pittsburgh, Wilmerding is also popular.

Depending on the time of the day, I would go to Wilmerding. Often they hold there a while. I would also go PA 837 to Clairton, you can often find 3 or 4 trains parked along the line.

Yes, it's hard to give definitive advice until this train gets a little farther west. There are all kinds of good spots to shoot empty trains south of Shire Oaks, too. It depends on where the train is during daylight.

Any Location updates? or is it still in Enola? Thanks
