There was a HU that VGN 1069 was leading 37Q this morning, then another post that it was in NJ, OK, just wait for 11R with the export units ...

I was surprised when 37Q came south with VGN 1069.

Ahead of 37Q was 211 (UPS), which was waiting in the siding at Shenandoah Junction for the 93V work train to clear. 37Q came up to the southbound signal at the Junction to wait behind 211. About this time (after 40 minutes of 211 being in the siding), 93V said they wouldn't be able to clear for another 40 minutes ... DS was PISSED. Hour and a half delay for the UPS. 93V better forget about getting back on the main for the rest of the week. ;-)

Never saw 93V, so I don't know what he was doing. If dropping ballast with a herzog train, it runs by GPS, so you could do that at night. ;-)

Nice photos. I can't believe they let MofW stay out ahead of a UPS train during peak season. Big no-no up here.

Should have Shen taken with you to Shenandoah Jct--she would have moved the UPS train right away---her kitty friends probably were waiting for Christmas presents.

She only goes rail fanning when I have to take her to the vet. ;-)

Haha I was thinking the same thing. On the Cleveland Line? Oh noooo. I wonder what 93V could of been doing to trump everyone else.

93V is a jack of all trades work train on the H-line. Herzog, train, picking up ties with a crane, etc. It can have anything from one gon to thirty hoppers.
