Eastern Railroad Discussion > Kent ABC crew brings in a heavy train todayDate: 12/03/12 17:20 Kent ABC crew brings in a heavy train today Author: FEC2000 Kent ABC crew brought 31 loads to Kent today. 6 grain, 3 tar and 22 box cars of cardboard paper. A normal Kent ABC consist is a SW1500, a few grain cars, a couple tanks and 3 box cars. They are positioning box car loads for the Container Corp in Ravenna, CSX is about to remove and raise the ex Erie bridge in Kent that the ABC uses to get to Ravenna. Eventually all the box cars and a locomotive will move to the East side of the bridge project to keep the supply of paper for the Container Corp that makes cardboard boxes.
1. ABC arrives in Kent with gray ghost leading 2. Switching out the cars, most box cars were left on the Shelly connecting track 3. Leaving the 6 axle behind, the train heads to switch the grain mill, Crowley Tar and Ravenna, passing the old Erie Depot in downtown Kent.
