From The Porch at The Station Inn last week.
A Relief crew is looking for the train that is about to die on the 12 hour rule.
The scanner was strangely very quiet, you could see them using a cell phone.
Finally, they hook up with the correct train & Everybody happy.

Looks like the Keystone Kops.
It would have made sense if the dispatcher would give them an engine number.
No wonder that the old steam guys said all diesels look alike.

A lot of times its the jitney driver that cant find the train. The crew is familiar with the territory but might not be proficient on the best way to get to that particular part of the railroad by road.

Just what do trainmen do with a big stick?
Kinda makes me think of the Simpsons episode where the Simpsons car gets impaled on the front of a ?Amtrak? train. After Homer chows down in the diner the Engineer tells Homer there is a procedure they have for just such a situation. After Homer climbs back into his car (with rest of family) the Engineer pries the car off the loco with a big stick! The auto naturally crashes onto the ballast!
