Eastern Railroad Discussion > Lehigh Valley on 748 coal trainDate: 12/06/12 18:32 Lehigh Valley on 748 coal train Author: lapklub It's running third unit, but Lehigh Valley is east bound out of Asheville, NC about 8:30pm headed for Belmont, NC(sw of Charlotte). This is a loaded coal train going down the Southern Loops to Old Fort and on to Salisbury for a crew change and then down the Piedmont Main through Charlotte and on to Belmont. Too bad most of the trip will be in darkness. Maybe the return will be better but not likely as the Lehigh Valley is facing front in it's #3 position. So unless they do a lot of power shifting it will trail coming back.
Good luck Mike |
