Hangar Queen alert. It kept running for how long after repairs in Altoona? Or is it dead-in-tow now only because it's surplus power in the consist....?

It needs to stay grounded for at least 30 days to be designated Hanger Queen.

Until the 30 day mark it could be used as a can jet though.

Sorry, your hanger queen comment took me back to my old crew chief days.

I don't think if there were anything wrong with the unit, they would be sending it westbound on 121.

Well, that's why I posed the alternative theory about "surplus power."

Apparently I've heard NS is rerouting all their westbound traffic to Decatur via the Frankfort District. 121 included.

121 often positions power from Sterling (and other SSA properties) to Oakwood

Second and third units (NS 6920 third unit) were set out at Oakwood Yard in Detroit. NS 9815 is leading 121 17 solo to Decatur.

OK, that makes sense. Wonder where it will go next.

Undoubtedly a detour because of the 34N derailment west of Logansport.

It went west this morning on 255 Triple Crown.

Yup, out on 255 18 TripleCrown to KC. By Logansport, IN at 12:12pm EST. No idea when the outbound Decatur crew will be called.
