Eastern Railroad Discussion > I like this engine, NS SD70Date: 01/16/13 14:41 I like this engine, NS SD70 Author: agrafton NS 2566 SD70 leads 4014 grain train e/b having just crossed CP86 I like catching non wide body engines unless their Heritage.
Then a w/b Coke train out of Mingo Junction leaning into curve sanders running about to cross Lake Street. I reel around and catch an e/b auto rack passing CP86 signals and again as it approaches Lake Street. I shoot a w/b freight about to cross over Diamond Street and back to Lake for a w/b Stack Train. I hung out with FEC2000 for about 3 hours we caught about 10 – 15 trains I got my identifiers all mixed up and FEC2000 will help me out here I’m sure. No big deal but I'm totally deaf in my left ear and have a hearing intolerance in my right which means I don’t hear much of anything. That’s why I don’t always get the train identifiers correct. Just saying, I smile and nod a lot Thanks Alan Date: 01/16/13 15:21 Re: I like this engine, NS SD70 Author: ns1000 GREAT set of pics!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, another cool thing if you can catch at the right angle in a super you can eliminate the bright headlight glare or ball of fire! ------------------------------------------------------- > 44T maybe? 44T 414 w/b coke loads Can't make out photo #3, but it's not a multi-level. #4 is 18N Can't make out #5, bridge sharp, train not :( I'd guess it to be 11K since it looks like there is a multi-level up front. Did it have empty muli-levels towards to rear too? #5 guess is "maybe" 25Z. I spy a small amount of blue showing on 2566. These looked sharp in Conrail paint, and I put the first miles on several of them on ATPI out of Altoona. Noisy, but rode smooth. RAD Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/16/13 16:31 by erie833. It was all a blurr.....:o) I went for the bridge in #5, train got in way.
