CSX Trains Q106/107
Author: gborgwald

So, did Q106 or 107 run this past Saturday (2/9)? If so, when? I was along the Toledo Branch in Findlay from about 9/9:30 until noon and didn't see it or hear anything on the scanner about it.

Thanks.

Greg

I don't know what ran yesterday, but if Q107 ran down the Toledo Branch, you were probably too early for it -- noon in Findlay would be at the very early end of its range of appearances there.

Q106 was supposed to run today via the C&O, which would have been its last trip according to plan, but I did not go looking for it.

Q107 was by Galatea at 13:48, so through Findlay about 14:30.

And Q107 yesterday had CSX power too boot, a major letdown for me.

Q106 today out of North Baltimore had the stellar pair of Belle's that MDH and others shot on Wed.

Assuming Q106 today out of St Louis heads straight to Marion, that may power the first Q109 tomorrow. I'll be interested to see field reports on this.

midweek this week is when it is rumored to switch over--the jobs have been advertised to go via the marion route for 106/107 effective yesterday
