Eastern Railroad Discussion > 14Q with a lease switcherDate: 05/08/13 15:49 14Q with a lease switcher Author: SlwApprSlw While traveling home from Wauseon (OH), I noticed something interesting. I see 14Q is stopped near the milepost 322 signals. In the consist, LOCX 68 is trailing in tow. I quickly turn around to go back to CR 17 to get some pictures. While there, 14Q was waiting for 39E to pass CP 320. Once 39E was west of CP 320, 14Q proceeded eastward.
Talk about an interesting catch. Also, I do not know much about the switcher. It maybe a former BRC unit judging by the paint. It's a good thing that I looked over and seen it. I might of missed this switcher. 1. 39E passing MP 322 signals. 2. 14Q moving eastward. 3. LOCX 68 Cass Telles "Slow-Approach-Slow" - 'Go by way of the B&O' Railroads of NW Ohio http://www.trainweb.org/rrnwoh My photostream on Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/ctelles/ Date: 05/08/13 16:08 Re: 14Q with a lease switcher Author: RI4444 I believe the SW1000 is ex Corn Products from Summit,Il though it is easily mistaken for a BRC unit.

I just assumed it was originally a BRC unit. Did they ever have SW1000's? Date: 05/08/13 17:48 Re: 14Q with a lease switcher Author: scapegoat It is my understanding Corn Products bought it new. I will check the frame number when it gets here. (we are storing it for the owner)

(we are storing it for the owner) You perked my interest so I searched real quick and it looks like you are dead on. They actually had two as 68 and 69.
