Empty Ethanol Train K495 on the CSX Trenton Sub
Author: chessie-2117

Runs west thru Philadelphia, approaching MP QA11. They came pretty close
to plastering three neighborhood youth as they approached my image location.
Would of been messy to see.

Yeah, would be nice if this were an N Scale layout, and we could just
pick em up and turn em around. Yes, these leaders are beat, but you
have to wonder how much longer they'll be around, right.

Well, Northeast Philadelphia, to be more specific. It's CSX's Trenton Sub.

geographically nb/sb CSX moves from north jersey and/or Philly can both be considered wb or even eb for that matter even tho they travel in opposite directions ... not having a direct westward route from these locations makes the logistics seem questionable since CSX trainshave to travel considrable distances in either direction from these terminal areas but that's all CSX has and they deal with it pretty darn good

This train should arrive in New Castle, PA this morning and make a daylight move to Willard.

Yes

The lead unit is lettered for DME. That railroad isn't noted for quickly painting all of its equipment. I have a picture on TO of a MILW-SOO-DME-CP patch job at Huron SD

DME was actually bought by CP several years ago, and they are trying to dump most of it now. This train did not leave Philly until about 2200 last night and is just getting to Cumberland now.

Maybe that unit I saw will get another reporting mark and some color to reflect the new owner.
