CP power on NS grain for KY/TN ?
Author: rrjunction

There was a grain train out of Lafayette IN last night heading
east on the Frankfort, Muncie line that had 2 CP units for power.
It apparently (?) came east into Frankfort during the night.
This morning, about 6:30 a.m., I heard the dispatcher talking to a
52K east of Frankfort.
It is POSSIBLE that this 52K does have that CP power on it so be
ready---no guarantee but a good chance. It should head for Cincy, KY & TN.

52K is headed to Winston Salem NC for Interchange to the Winston Salem Southbound Railway. Train will become a 54T for the trip from Roanoke Va to Winston Salem NC. I hope it keeps the CP Power.

I believe I missed this train by less than 2 minutes. I spotted the rear end passing over I-275 in Erlanger with the hill engine working hard.

Thanks for the heads-up, though! Keep us posted with anything you see headed here.

A pair of CP painted Alco\Montreal locos came into Columbus last night. Had QGRY 4222 & QGRY 4242 on cab side. Windows are covered with wood.

It appears the CP went west to Illinois then back east on the
Wabash instead of the planned train so maybe the KY guys didn't miss a think at all !?
