Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 1074 East thru Western Springs, ILDate: 07/12/13 08:33 NS 1074 East thru Western Springs, IL Author: kevink Knowing that the Lackawana heritage loco NS 1074 was leading BNSF train U-TNDNSD0-39T this morning, I got myself over to Western Springs, IL before the end of the morning Metra rush. My plan to catch this train and then take the next Metra inbound worked perfectly at the NS 1074 rolled east at 8:50 about 15 minutes ahead of the Metra train. We passed the train while it was parked at Western Avenue Yard for a crew changes.

Steve B. Date: 07/12/13 09:00 Re: NS 1074 East thru Western Springs, IL Author: toledopatch The S&A, Interstate, and Penn Central units could all be westbound on that same piece of railroad on Saturday. Any or all could "fall down," of course, but it's worth keeping track of.
