Where does CSX service their EMD units? I was told Cumberland now does the GE work, head east wide cabs. CSXT 804 was reported on train Q689 (dead in tow). Going to get overhauled?

CSX only has three major shops: Cumberland, MD; Huntington, WV; and Waycross, GA. During the Chessie days both Cumberland and Huntington were mostly for EMD units. At that time Clifton Forge, VA was the GE facility. Of course, at that time, Chessie only had a handful of GE locomotives compared to their fleet of EMD units. My guess is all three shops probably do some sort of work on both manufactures' products.

And don't forget Corbin, Ky. Corbin crews are now under the direction of GE Services and can do everything but heavy rebuilds on both GE and EMD units. Corbin is always a VERY busy place.
