Thanks for the photos! I noticed with surprise these trains as I drove through Manassas yesterday, but I couldn't stop for photos. Are we to see these trains ply the rails for VRE from now on? or were they just for the Santa Train? Boy, did I mess up....

Of course, by 2010, the F59s and their passenger cars have long been returned to Sounder. The pass of the two F59 in Manassas turned out to be a rare event.

People forget while whinging about the current state of the mechanicals on the puddle jumpers that 2 F59s (aka Hanger Queens) running at the same time was very rare also....
