Payed a visit to the RMM in Altoona this past week, while there is a new roundhouse, some of the rolling stock is in deplorable condition.

When I visited last year I almost wanted to ask for my money back.

Poor Mountain View, what an end for such a famous round end.

Not Mountain View; that's Jacks Narrows (round end). Mountain View (square end)inside roundhouse, as per agreement under equipment trust.

The 150 anniversary car has been there only 10 years and look at it's condition. and some of the faded markings.

I remember seeing the GG1 in the early 1980s looking splendid in a shiny new coat of Tuscan Red paint adored with the gold pinstripes. It broke my heart to see it the last few times I stopped by the museum while passing through Altoona.
