Happy Easter to all! Yesterday, April 19, 2014, the day before Easter, my dad and I went out to Rootstown, OH to catch NS 21Q with the Southern 8099 leading. After catching a couple more trains there with some UP and BNSF power, we headed east towards Alliance, where I caught M80 coming from Canton and then caught two trains in Sebring, and two oil trains at the Garfield Sag just east of Beloit. Hope you enjoy the photos!

#1. NS 11K approaching the Lynn Rd. crossing in Rootstown, OH.

#2. 11V ducks under I-76 and rounds the bend.

#3. 20R heads across Lynn Rd. and approaches New Milford Rd. as 11V heads away in the distance towards Ravenna and Cleveland.

#4. 21Q flies west through Rootstown with the Southern 8099 in command, followed by a UP AC4400 and a D9W.

#5. Going-away roster shot of 8099 approaching New Milford Rd. crossing.

#6. UP 6816 (AC4400CW) trailing the 8099 on 21Q, followed by an NS D9W. Note that UP 6816's cab door is open.

#7. Z4K heads east past MP 81.7 with an SD60E leader.

#8. A short 25V rounds the curve with a UP ES44AC in the second position.

#9. 20Q passes MP 81.7 with NS 8341 leading a BNSF Dash-9 and UP SD70M. This is the third stack train in a row with a UP unit on it.

#10. 262 heads east headed towards a small traffic jam ahead at Alliance.

#11. Moving east to Alliance, we catch NS M80 headed east on the Fort Wayne out of Canton at restricted speed.

#12. NS M4K heads east into Sebring, OH, approaching the Johnson Rd. crossing.

#13. 25Z blasts west through Sebring as M4K heads away in the distance.

#14. 65W heads through the Garfield Sag approaching Ellett Rd. crossing just east of Beloit, OH.

#15. Another westbound oil train, 65Z, follows the previous oil train towards Alliance as it approaches Smith-Goshen Rd. near Beloit.
