N&W Western E-33 235
Author: SP373

Good Afternoon,

I can only find front images of the N&W E33. Did the rear of the locomotive
include the herald as well?

Thanks,

SP373

We are students of the old N&W - Virginian ourselves... The "E33's" were originally Virginian units... As i remember only one was painted in the N & W scheme because it was damaged in a wreck after the merger... The authoritative source for the paint diagram would be the archives of the N & W Historical Society... I would send 'em an e-mail or give "em a call... They may have a picture that shows both ends... I do know that it wuz usual practice on the N&W to use an "end herald" on both ends of the locomotive... There is also a book entitled the "N & W" electrics that i think has one picture of the N & W painted ELc...
