Under the Bridge then out on the Bridge.
Author: nancyg

We went out this afternoon to see what we could see as it was kind of sunny, then turned real cloudy, so what else is new?

It was really quiet on the CSX line, I think they were working on it near Kent, OH. Ran across a Wheeling and Lake Erie stone train on CSX’s New Castle Sub.

photo 1) The Wheeling stone train, Z642, reversing through Akron, OH, having just ducked “under” the Thornton Street bridge with empty hoppers passing the New Metro Transit facility.
photo 2) Wheeling 6353 about to pull “out” on the old AC&Y trestle on their main before reversing to a siding to tie down. The Towpath Trail is under this trestle.
photo 3) The 6353 and sister 6356 coming to a stop before reversing.

Enjoy!!!

Thank you, Nancy

Great photos Nancy. I like the shot on the trestle. In your first photo, what is that black area to the right of the track?
