In the mid-90's, in addition to the usual Conrail
power, it wasn't uncommon for various odds and
ends from other roads to drift into the Collinwood
Diesel Terminal in Cleveland, OH. Had a
Housitonic GP35 for a while, a CSS&SB Little Joe
moving to the museum in North East, PA, and
various Santa Fe C30-7's and B36-7's in the
Conrail or GE lease fleets. One dismal day in
January 1995, I found this chopnosed GP9 standing
outside the shops near E.152nd St. I have never
seen that paint scheme before or since, and I'm
still trying to find out the unit's history.
Anyone recognize it?
