How many Alcos here,what models?
Author: TRAINSPOT57

Here is my favorite non-roster shot on the LIRR of "noses" all lined up. What models are present?(Tricky, unless you're familiar with LIRR roster) Enjoy! Tim

Tell me something, did all Long Island RR locomotives have 3rd rail pickup shoes?

Well let me give this a try. I see 2 RS1s, several RS3s, an FL9, a GE25 Tonner and possibly a GE 65 Tonner next to the 25 ton. I think that about covers it. Am I correct on these?

Actually, let me try again, left to right:

Power Pack cab car converted from an Alco FA (I can't see the radiator fan location or the number, so I can't tell if it was an FA1 or an FA2)

Alco C420

Alco S2 switcher ?

GE 25 Tonner

Alco C420

Alco RS1 ?

Alco RS1 ?

Alco RS3

Alco RS1

I've put question marks next to the ones I'm not totally sure on.

And the answer is: left to right, FA2, C420, (GE 25 ton), S2, S1, RS3, RS1. 2 missing models were FA1 and RS2.
