North end of south facing G&U F7
Author: JPB

Visited Grafton and Upton's North Grafton, MA yard (where G&U interchanges with CSX) to see what progress has been made on their various infrastructure projects. Immaculate F7-A was exposing its hind end at the end of the office spur at Westboro Rd - nice attention to detail! As it was late afternoon and the day's operations were done, the roster appears to be all present and accounted for. I couldn't tell for sure but it looked like yard expansion was moving forward at N Grafton to accommodate anticipated higher interchange car counts. Further down the line at Hopedale, the G&U caboose sits on what should ultimately become the main track to Milford and another connection to CSX operations. While crossings over state routes 16 (where pickup truck is) and 140 and other streets are re-installed, there is a lot of track to re-install between crossings. And there is still a half mile gap between end of track and CSX track at Milford, although there appears to be a pile of old rusty rail lying around.
