Altoona and Gallitzin Train magazine

There was a train magazine few years back that did a story on railfanning Altoona, Gallitzin
area. Was it The Railroad Press? Lost my issue and looking for another one.

The best coverage of this area was published by Rails Northeast however that was in the late 70's. It had all of the "shortcuts" on how to get real close to the action. Back then, you could get away with it most of the time however, in today's railroading you get a very stern warning if not taken away for trespassing.

Railpace Newsmagazine did an article in the early 90's about the East Slope including Altoona and Horseshoe Curve, and then a 3-part series in the middle 90's that covered the west slope from Johnstown all the way up to Gallitzen. Good articles, some of the better ones that Railpace has done.

Classic Trains, Special 2013 (Special Edition No. 12) has a super 20-pg article entitled "Worlds Busiest Mountain Railroad", which may, in part, be a reprint of April 1957 Trains. PRR Altoona-Pittsburgh during its finest hour.
Well worth ordering from Kalmbach or eBay.
