Track Work at Elkhart, Indiana?
Author: wabash2800

A friend and I were out there the other day and saw panel track and some track work. Are they extending the controlled siding? Sorry, I didn't find anything specific here.

I have heard that the controlled siding east of town will be extended to CP412 with universal crossovers put in at 417.

Patch, so does that mean that a third track will extend across main street? I noticed that main street was blocked as if they are going to tear up the street.

Main Street in Elkhart? I don't know if that area will change. (If you count the Kalamazoo Branch and the inbound yard leads, there are already five tracks at that crossing, but I assume that's what you're referring to.)
