Looks like a mis-routed BNSF Q intermodal train
Author: JPB

At about 7:30AM last Monday 7/21/14, a PAR crew parked 22K intermodal at Wachusetts just outside of the west end of MBTA's Fitchburg line commuter zone. Engines were two BNSF Dash-9s bracketing an ES44C4. About 45 minutes later, PAR EDPO overtakes the 2 mile long single stacked intermodal as it crawls toward the Fitchburg yard. Twelve miles west at Gardner, the 206 multilevel/intermodal train sits crewless after having dropped loaded racks for the P&W. Given PAS backs the 22K into Hill Yd at Ayer from track two, the in-bound morning T rush could be delayed by a two-mile long train fouling one of two tracks between CPF-AY and Willows. Presumably after the morning rush is over, 22K will be re-crewed to complete the last 17 miles of its 1,000+ mile journey.

The 206 ML train parked at Gardner will likely have to wait until mid-day when the 205 empty MLs depart track 2 at the Willow Rd auto unloading facility.
