CNW 8701
Author: hoydie17

Didn't see this mentioned already, received a text this morning from a friend informing me that CNW 8701 is leading NS 204 today. Reported through Gainesville, GA a couple hours ago, usually gets into Harrisburg, PA just after midnight.

Yes, the Night Stalker will be getting this one... :)

204 was through Charlotte, NC (MP 376) at 12:23pm. CNW 8701 leads an NS SD70 and a BNSF Dash 9.

You didn't happen to notice if the schemes were the older NS and BNSF schemes did you? Matched up with the CNW scheme, that could make the photo pretty timeless..

The second unit is NS 2554. I don't recall which scheme it is wearing, but nsdash9.com indicates that it is wearing the older, non-horsehead scheme.

The third unit is BNSF 4745, and it is wearing the Heritage 2 scheme it was delivered in. I was on the west side when it passed and noticed that it has some significant fire damage on the west side of the long hood.

Got it, thanks for the info... comes in handy for shot planning.

Any idea about what time it would be in Culpeper?
