Are there any good sites in and around Oshkosh? What is the traffic level like?

Thanks,
Mark

Try the Route 175 highway bridge at Van Dyne between Fon du Lac and Oshkosh. Also, the south end of the yard at Fon du Lac and then Byron hill just south of town. Heading north there is a yard at Neenah with some possibilities. A local works in Menasha and there are some interesting shots around the paper mill. Hope this helps.

watch the speeds of the trains as they move though town and over the bridge in Oshkosh. they move fast. first siding north of town is Winnebago. as mentioned, Van Dyne is good too. If you have time, head north to Neenah. More action there, as trains come into town from the north in multiple directions. south of Oshkosh and F-D-L is Byron Hill.

Oshkosh restaurant

We stayed overnight in Oshkosh in March, and there is a great downtown restaurant. Forget he name, but recall it as near the river/water - nice spot, young crowd, biz crowds, sports, etc., various floor levels, etc.
