Few good catches
Author: railfan1983

Here are a few good catches from the past two days. The first is NS 23E with a Ferromex leading. Next is NS M75 with two old but still running strong ex BN motors. Lastly is NS 981 a military movement of nothing but tanks. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Great pictures and nice catches, but I'd like know a little bit about each photo and where they were taken. Thanks

The first two pics were of NS 23E and were taken in the area of Temple, GA on Sunday. The second train NS M75 was today and the pics were taken in North West Georgia between Rockmart and Austell. The last one was NS 981 and was taken today. The first pic with the UP AH leading is when it was just getting into Atlanta and when it got into the yard in Atlanta they added another NS SD40-2 for some reason so in the second pic you notice the added engine as it passed through Austell, GA. That train was headed up the North end towards Chattanooga tonight.

I like the shot of the UP leader crossing the diamonds. Good work on this series.

Very unusual plant...with a pair of diamonds with curves in each direction, a crossover and the signaling is cool. Great shot.
