What is OSS?

I heard OSS on my scanner confirming a consist change (as I recall). What is OSS?

I always thought it meant Office of Strategic Services. But then, it IS the NS we are talking about so it figures right??!! :^)

You mean "spies"; plural...

Truman disbanded the OSS after WWII, it was later resurrected as a different agency, one most people now recognize as the CIA.
