My take on the 425 today on the Reading and Northern
Author: dschlegel

I rode along today with jim6300loco (my dad) and beertrain (my brother) to chase the R&N's 425 and the CNJ 113. Unfortunately the 113 experienced what was rumored to be some brake problems, and was taken off the train before it departed Port Clinton, PA.
First stop was Drehersville, PA at the base of Hawk Mountain. Here's a few of shots at Hawk Mountain rd.
1) A spider web and a reflection shot of jim6300loco and myself
2) The star of the show, the 425 rounds the turn from Port Clinton
3) An in your face shot of the 425

5) Its hard to mistake this truck, nice ride Ed!
6) The 425 rolls along RT443 in Zehners, PA.

7)After a brief stop in Tamaqua the 425 begins to pull out of town as a R&N Police officer watches the crossing.
8)A wider view of the same crossing, the sound was amazing!
9)Final shot, rods down and bell swinging as the 425 blasts off.

Thanks for looking!
Dan

It would have been cool to get a reflection of #425 in your first photo.
