Eastern Railroad Discussion > mow at Broad Street or quite a parade,( Video)

Weather; Extreme overcast

Thanks to a local HU from nancyg, who was at the store when she spotted the “parade” at Broad Street, I went down
to Broad Street and grabbed a few photos of the north rail replacement on the New Castle Sub. At BG124.7, on w/b
track 1, mow crew was replacing one track today and the operation when it gets rolling is quite interesting. I do not
know the names of all the equipment so I’ll try and give a somewhat detail information as I can accompanying each
photo. There is a video at the end so check it out, no drone to many people in tight quarters.

photo 1 a John Deer Railavator lifts on the north track
photo 2 three machines follow the Railavator this is the third one a ballast and tie cleaner as Q359 comes w/b
photo 3 this Terex boom crane lifts the new rail and walks it down and in place look for it in the video

I like photo #2 Alan. All that heavy equipment must have made you think of when you operated heavy equipment.

Jim, I guess you didn't notice the first part of the video right in the opening dialog I identify BG124.9 New Castle Sub in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Nice shots Alan, very colorful. I am glad I turned your truck around after taking it to Toyota to get the mirror replaced to see what was going on at the tracks.
