Eastern Railroad Discussion > In search of some colorDate: 10/23/14 19:04 In search of some color Author: biff In western NY the colors of fall are fast disappearing as October comes closer to its end. Cool rainy weather in the last several days didn't help matters any. Today the sun decided to make an appearance so I headed off to the NS southern tier line east of Buffalo NY in hopes of finding a few trains and some colorful backgrounds. First off this line is never real busy, often with several hours between trains. As luck would have it today, good luck was on my side. The first train seen is eastbound NS 22K heading through Dale NY, about 40 miles east of Buffalo. The second train is NS 206 seen at Darien Center NY about 25 miles east of Buffalo. Both these trains would normally be through this area in the dark but with the issues that have been troubling the NS recently they have been seen frequently in daylight.
