Amtrak Vet's leads 50 east on the Buckingham Branch RR
Author: hdralleiii

Yesterday I was driving south to pickup my son near Roanoke, VA and a friend sent a message that Amtrak unit #42 (Vet's Unit) was leading PO50 eastbound near Staunton. Timing was near perfect as I jumped off the interstate, he was departing the station stop downtown. After about a 2 minute wait, 42 popped into the sun behind the Augusta Co-op facility. Shots are just west of I-81 near the "Brand" siding.

Enjoy!

Hank

Hank,

Very nice pic's always love it when the timing works out just right, especially unplanned.

The only issue with that and I'm sure most of us have had one of those days where we pre-plan
like crazy invest lots of time and nothing comes together! But I suppose that's why the train
gods give us opportunities like this one.

Really great pic of my favorite train... Does the Co-op get served by the railroad?
