[NJ] NS 1069 VGN going west?
Author: Lackawanna484

Has anybody been observing the unloading of the NS 66z oil train in Linden? It came in yesterday afternoon, and I'm guessing it began to unload in the early evening.

No guarantee that 1069 will be on the outbound train, of course. Many trains arrive with four units (two up front, two in DPU). Some leave the same way and others leave with three up front and one left behind at Bayway. The outbound symbol is usually 67z

Thanks

66Z had all his power leading (3) engines with no dpu's this time. Hoping he will leave tomorrow, but they usally leave one engine in Linden when they run 4 engines. Interesting to see what happens.

thanks for the update.

three engines up front and none in DPU is unusual for a 66z, although it has happened in the past.

Is it just my imagination, or has the unloading time stretched out a little? This train arrived Friday afternoon, and it's still there 24 hours later. Several trains have arrived and departed in about 18 hours.
