Here are my shots of the Southern Pacific SD70ACe leading NS 172 on the Charlotte District in North Carolina.


Photo #1:
A UP SD70M leads NS 214 at Five Row in Spencer, NC

Photo #2:
NS 172 rolls through Kannapolis, NC under pristine "Carolina Blue" skies.

Photo #3:
172 highballs through Landis, NC after meeting Amtrak 73 at Kannapolis.

172 crossing the Yadkin River north of Spencer.

Photo #5:
172 rolling around the curve at Duke approaching Linwood Yard.

Photo #6:
A final closeup of UP 1996 before it pulls into the yard.
