The Sunbury Subdivision
Author: m1bprr

Well today 11/22/14 not exactly a Kodachrome day, as we used to say in the old days, finds me on the Canadian Sunbury Subdivision around my home in Luzerne County, PA. Nothing too exciting today, a south bound CP 458 aka 11R once on the NS.

Light engines have dropped their train north of this location to pick up a repaired "cripple" then back down to their train.

Having picked up their train now underway at Breaker Rd, the chase is on.

Chase ended here at Broadway, Nanticoke. FYI for those who don't know this strech of railroad was once part of the PRR Wilkes-Barre Branch which ended at "Buttonwood" Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Cool shots! 931 is the Enola/NS to Montreal/CN manifest (aka NS 31T/CN L529). This particular train was actually a detoured NS 22K that normal runs via Buffalo, and was running as a 2-931 on CP.
